2025 Toyota Camry

Just this month, the very first ninth-generation Toyota Camry rolled off the factory floor at the Kentucky plant as assembly line workers cheered on. You know what that means, right?

It means we’re precisely on schedule for the spring release date, and you’ll be able to buy a 2025 Camry in Romeoville very soon.

The big news for this generation is that the Camry is now exclusively a hybrid vehicle, a decision made as part of Toyota’s ongoing march toward full electrification. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, let’s check out what else has changed about the all-new Camry.

2025 Toyota Camry Trims and Pricing

Upon its release, the new Camry will be available in four different grades. Each will have the option of being equipped with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Here’s the breakdown, along with the base MSRP as of this writing:

  • 2025 Toyota Camry LE: $28,400 (FWD) / $29,925 (AWD)
  • 2025 Toyota Camry SE: $30,700 (FWD) / $32,225 (AWD)
  • 2025 Toyota Camry XLE: $33,400 (FWD) / $34,925 (AWD)
  • 2025 Toyota Camry XSE: $34,600 (FWD) / $36,125 (AWD)

2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid Engine Performance

For the new model year, the bestselling Camry now comes with the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System, which is paired with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Despite having done away with the V6 Camry, Toyota promises the 2025 model is going to be one of the most powerful yet seen.

Front-wheel drive models now have 225 horsepower, a noticeable improvement over the 208 net system horsepower from the outgoing year thanks to the improved electric generators. This new powertrain offers the most standard horsepower we’ve seen in a Camry, and it’s estimated for up to 51 miles per gallon combined to boot. Which is some pretty good gas mileage!

AWD versions crank things up even further, because Toyota’s Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive is now available across all trim levels. Utilizing an added electric motor at the rear axle, it’s able to generate 232 horsepower, which is 30 more than the previous-gen gas-powered all-wheel drive model. The On-Demand system works by electronically distributing torque to the rear wheels when necessary, providing more sure-footedness in inclement weather while also boosting acceleration and performance. This is the first time this AWD tech has been available in a hybrid Camry.

Aside from the revamped hybrid motor, the 2025 Camry benefits from a new eCVT transmission designed to maximize fuel efficiency and throttle. The suspension and braking systems have also been given some tweaks to increase responsiveness.

To top it off, drivers will have the ability to select from Normal, Eco, and Sport modes to tailor their driving experience on the fly while on the roads in Aurora.

2025 Toyota Camry Design

As part of its redesign, the Camry’s sporting a brand-new look, which blends the classic stylings of the model with a bold and fresh flair.

One of the most prominent changes is that the frontal profile has been given a more prominent and substantial look. The hood has also been designed with sharper geometry that accentuates the standard LED headlights, which are crisper and more visible than before.

Exterior details vary by trim, giving each their own distinct character. The LE and XLE versions can be spotted by the lateral bar front grille, which is black on the LE and metallic gray on the XLE. The SE and XSE also get an idiosyncratic grille design, a honeycombed sport mesh that’s colored to match the body paint in the XSE edition. The top-level XLE and XSE also receive special badging and exterior embellishments, and each trim also comes standard with their own unique wheel designs.

Available colors for 2025 Toyota Camrys for sale near Naperville include Midnight Black Metallic, Celestial Silver Metallic, Wind Chill Pearl, Ice Cap, Underground, Reservoir Blue, Supersonic Red, and for the first time, Ocean Gem and Heavy Metal. The XSE trim can also be optioned with a slick black two-tone roof that further accentuates its performance-inspired countenance.

2025 Toyota Camry Interior

2025 Toyota Camry Interior and Tech

Infotainment features for the new Camry have gotten a serious upgrade. Buyers now have the choice between an 8.0-inch or a 12.3-inch center stack touch screen display. Regardless of grade, the Toyota Audio Multimedia system comes with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, and five USB ports throughout the cabin.

Media is paired with either a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster in the LE and SE or a 12.3-inch one in the XLE and XSE. Higher level trims also feature an optional 10.0-inch heads-up display, for a grand total of 34.6 combined inches of maximum display, making the ’25 Camry one of the most tech-forward cars in Toyota history.

Other optional subscription packages include Drive Connect voice command recognition, Safety Connect vehicle assistance, Wi-Fi Connect with 4G coverage, and Digital Key via the Toyota app.

In addition to all the outstanding technology and connectivity options, the Camry’s interior has been given a massive elevation in all-around interior comfort. Front seat dimensions and construction have been overhauled, and features like ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel are available. Upper-tier trims also have acoustic laminated glass for more efficient sound deadening.

2025 Toyota Camry Safety

The Camry has been awarded with an IIHS Top Safety Pick every year since 2012, meaning it has a track record as one of the safest cars available. When the 2025 Camry makes its debut in the Greater Chicago area, it’s sure to continue the tradition with the best-yet driver assistance features we’ve seen.
