Toyota RAV4 for Sale

For many consumers, shopping for the ideal vehicle can sometimes feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. The amount of makes and models in the marketplace only gets larger every year. Narrowing down the options and finding just one that will adhere to your needs can seem next to impossible. When it comes to obtaining what's ideal, many have turned to the world of the SUV.

Modern SUVs provide plenty of storage for when you need it, advanced driver assistance features that oversee your on-the-go experience, and the comfort and amenities that so many crave. Narrowing down the market to which SUV is the best betrays the subjectivity of the consumer, but when it comes to an all-time favorite like the Toyota RAV4, you always know you're getting something spectacular. Here at Romeoville Toyota, we have the Toyota RAV4 for sale and the know-how to find the trim that fits you best. And, as we'll soon describe, the advantages of owning a RAV4 are numerous; for as many SUVs are on the marketplace, there is only one Toyota RAV4.

The Story So Far…

The SUV has achieved widespread popularity in recent years. When compared to some of the larger offerings from earlier in the decade, the modern incarnations are much smaller, both in size and the powertrains they're propelled by. While we might think of this concept as relatively new, the Toyota RAV4 was certainly ahead of its time when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The RAV4 certainly embodied one of the early hallmarks that Toyota is known for—a more fuel-efficient vehicle and one that provides a substantial amount of quality. Just as they did during the energy crisis of the 1970s, Toyota's ability to think outside the box benefitted many.

So, what powertrain did Toyota opt for? Relatively small for a vehicle in its class, a 2.0L four-cylinder engine lives beneath this hood. Launched in 1996 for North American markets, the RAV4 was way ahead of its time in providing excellent fuel economy. In an age where SUVs were known for being gas-guzzling behemoths, the RAV4 offered consumers a worthwhile alternative, with a combined MPG of 23 (an EPA-estimated 21 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway). While these specifications are considered normal for a midsize SUV or pickup by today's standards, it was truly exceptional for 1996. Never one to rest on their laurels and watch the world pass it by, Toyota continued to push the envelope in terms of efficiency. In 1997, a hybrid version of the vehicle was launched—over a decade before this technology would be considered normal.

This dedication to providing unsurpassed quality has continued into the present day. Incorporating advanced safety features, EV technology, and more, the Toyota RAV4 continues to be ahead of the curve in terms of what an SUV can offer the average consumer.

A Selection Unlike Any Other

If you're in the market for a brand-new Toyota RAV4, you're in luck. At Romeoville Toyota, we not only carry the RAV4 from the current model year, but we also have several marked down below the original starting MSRP. This means obtaining higher quality at a lower price. Whether you're looking for front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, we have several options for you to choose from—not to mention trims and available packages—to ensure you get exactly what you're looking for.

And when it comes to selection, you'll have a great deal to benefit from. Our sales team is here to walk you through the entire process, from beginning to end. We'll break down each trim, their standards, and many of the available features you can enjoy on the road. And there's much more to the vehicle besides these factors that you can benefit from.

No matter what vehicle you own, having routine maintenance done at regular intervals is necessary to keep it on the road and running well. It's also how you recoup a sizable return on your investment. When it comes to the annual cost of repairs, the RAV4 has one of the most outstanding averages compared to other competitors in its class. In the first nine years of ownership, the RAV4's annual repair costs stay well below the threshold of $1,000. In this same period of time, the chances of having to undergo a major repair are less than 14%. Numbers don't lie, and neither does the quality assurance associated with the Toyota RAV4.

2023: The Year of the RAV4

Just as it did all those years ago, the Toyota RAV4 has once again proven itself as an economical and practical choice for 2023. The current model of the RAV4 is equipped with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine, much like the earliest models that first appeared on North American shores. And, in the tradition of providing first-rate fuel economy, the 2023 RAV4 possesses a combined MPG of 30 (an EPA-estimated 27 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway). There are also hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the vehicle for those who want to get the most mileage between fill-ups.

This year also sees an abundance of standard safety features that rival the competition. Besides receiving the coveted five-star safety rating from the NHTSA, the RAV4 comes standard with adaptive cruise control and automated emergency braking. Pedestrian detection is also included, and this year Toyota has improved upon this by including the ability to detect motorcycles. It appears 2023 is the year when Toyota once again lays claim to being the manufacturer that offers consumers the most in every sense of the word.
